VB to Pascal
A programmer is expected to be able to program in more than one language. He or she might need to convert an existing program from one language to another or be required to switch to a different language for a new project. This tutorial should be helpful both for students wanting to convert a Visual Basic (VB) console application to Pascal and for VB programmers learning the Pascal language. We used Microsoft Visual Basic 2010 Express to test our VB code and Delphi 7 and Lazarus to test the equivalent Pascal code.
Follow the links below to the sections of this tutorial. The first section outlines some major differences between VB and Pascal. The next section tabulates equivalent code for commonly used language features and the final section comprises a program with twelve subroutines written in both VB and Pascal.
